oopsies
Does it count that I meant to do this every day? Well, my apologies to those of you who have come more than once looking for a new entry and not finding one. This entry, then, is dedicated to you.
Of course, there are reasons I haven't posted since the 4th. Umm... I came up to college is one. Packing took way longer than I'd thought (big surprise), so I didn't end up leaving home until about 9pm on Monday, and so I didn't get up here until about 1:30 Tuesday morning. After S&S let me into my room, I unloaded the cab of my truck and went to sleep, alone in my room, in a sleeping bag on the mattress. After 10 weeks of being with 28 other people 24/7, being alone here was really difficult, and as tired as I was I had trouble falling asleep.
So basically over the last few days I've just been busy with logistical stuff. I had to unload all my stuff up to the 3rd floor by myself... that was no fun. Then there was quitting my job at the pharmacy, registering for parking, signing in at ORL, and lots of rehearsal. Josh and Ray, my roommates, got here yesterday, and since their stuff was in storage on the other side of campus, we used my truck to bring it over, which still took a couple of hours. They took me to Murphy's for dinner tonight though, so it was worth it.
I'm happy with our room, and it's nice to be at Dartmouth and not have classes to go to. Being back with the Cords is awesome, of course, and though it would be nice if more of us were here, it's an interesting challenge to figure out what we can sing with the guys we have and learn new parts to songs. Our first show is tomorrow night at 11 at the Hanover Inn, and I'm pretty excited to show the 10's what a kickass group we are. The a cappella showcase on Saturday will be my first time singing in Spaulding, so I'm looking forward to that as well. But before all that, I'm visiting Meg down at UNH tomorrow and am, of course, wicked excited.
So that's been my past few days, in very much abbreviated format. But now for some Bike and Build stories!
