On the road...

Hey guys! I don't know if anyone is reading this, but I'm here in a library in Brandon, VT, so I thought I'd make a quick update. Most importantly, there is a question about the maildrop in Grand Rapids, MN, so if you were going to send something there, hold it until I can confirm we have something set up there.

The ride is going very well so far. The 28 other riders on the trip are all amazing people, and we come from such different places. We've got a guy from San Francisco, a couple of girls from Richmond, a girl from Miami... seniors, alums, sophomores... even a kid from LI that just graduated high school. Theater majors, theology majors, engineers... So it's been really fun getting to know everyone.

The biking itself is going excellent as well. Yesterday was a pretty tough day over some tough mountains, but apparently it will be the most difficult climb we have all summer. (The Rockies, I guess, are longer climbs but not as steep). Today was supposed to be a really tough day, (last year, the route went 45 miles instead of 18 to avoid Brandon Gap, which we climbed), but it turned out to be more hype than hill. It was still a little tough, but not nearly as bad as we anticipated.

So here I am in Brandon with the whole day to just hang out. Maybe I'll go write some postcards...

Hope all is well at home! And remember to check out bikeandbuild.org for updates and pictures!
