So, as most people are getting off the blogging bandwagon, I'm finally joining. For a long time, I've wanted to keep a journal, but after a dozen or so failed attempts, I wasn't sure it would work out. Well, I started one again. And this time, it's for real. I decided I'd copy some parts of it on here, and maybe the desire to update this site would drive me to write more faithfully. Do I have anything so important to say that I think you all should read it? Not really. But we'll see how it goes.
I'm a student at Dartmouth College, majoring in Government (International Relations) with a minor in Environmental Studies.
Academically, I'm interested in the implications of global climate change on U.S. national security.
Not sure what's going on after graduation yet. Maybe you've heard - it's a tough job market right now...
Currently, my greatest inspiration comes from the Oscar speeches of Glen Hansard: "Make art. Make art" and Markéta Irglová: "Fair play to those who dare to dream" after winning the 2008 award for Best Original Song, "Falling Slowly."
So I really like taking pictures, if you didn't know, and I've got some on my computer that I thought would help brighten things up a bit. And so, in honor of it being almost spring, here are some pictures I took in my yard last year.
Bee!
Pretty sweet cause it had just rained and then the sun came out:
