There's a country called Tuva?

No. Not officially, anyway. But there's a place on the border of Russia and Mongolia (basically, as far away from here as you can get) and, from this far away mystical land, there are people called throat singers. And they are amazing. Imaginethis : someone sings, but instead of you hearing one sound, you hear two. That's right, two. Two tones, from one person. Plus, they play mad awesome instruments.

Anyway, there's a group called Huun-Huur-Tu, and they are the most famous of the throat singers. They came to my music class yesterday and gave a demo, and then had a concert tonight. It made me want to go to Tuva, I'm not even kidding. Someday, I really hope I can get there. In the meantime, I bought a CD. Good stuff.

Then I went to the Hop and saw Paradise Now. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, cause I'm not sure what it was trying to accomplish. If you've seen it, let me know what you think.

Ummm... that's it for now. I guess I should go back to my epic reading sessions. Tonight's episode: The Prince.
