So, as most people are getting off the blogging bandwagon, I'm finally joining. For a long time, I've wanted to keep a journal, but after a dozen or so failed attempts, I wasn't sure it would work out. Well, I started one again. And this time, it's for real. I decided I'd copy some parts of it on here, and maybe the desire to update this site would drive me to write more faithfully. Do I have anything so important to say that I think you all should read it? Not really. But we'll see how it goes.
I'm a student at Dartmouth College, majoring in Government (International Relations) with a minor in Environmental Studies.
Academically, I'm interested in the implications of global climate change on U.S. national security.
Not sure what's going on after graduation yet. Maybe you've heard - it's a tough job market right now...
Currently, my greatest inspiration comes from the Oscar speeches of Glen Hansard: "Make art. Make art" and Markéta Irglová: "Fair play to those who dare to dream" after winning the 2008 award for Best Original Song, "Falling Slowly."
You don't want a girl who sees miracles, you want a girl that makes them and much more than that, believes in them and thinks that just being with you is an utterly beautiful miracle..
Well, of course, but what I meant was seeing miracles in life- barely making the 11:30 bus at 11:36 because it was as late as you were, the miracle of a red sunset after rain all day, the miracle of the "chance" encounter, of actually seeing someone's soul, of the right song at the right time, the Miracle Mets, the miracle of Maple trees and of pets that can look through your eyes... because there are miracles all around us, but it seems that not many people acknowledge them.
