Carnival is saved!!!
So each year, Dartmouth has a Winter Carnival in the middle of... the winter, and it's the coolest thing (no pun intended, of course) that happens all year here. Without having experienced one yet, I would say that we've got pretty much everything you'd expect from a winter carnival, PLUS a GIANT ice and snow sculpture, which is based on the theme of the carnival. Last year, there was a pirate ship that people could go on and in, etc. Yes, you heard me. So it's pretty awesome.
Problem was, until today, we didn't have any snow. None. Dartmouth was actually trucking in snow so work on the sculpture could begin. But then, with temperatures almost 30 degrees above average (!) it was all starting to melt.
But then, some select (and highly experienced) professionals back home in Port Jervis unleashed... the Snow Dance*. As predicted, their actions not only resulted in cancellation of school for them, but, more than 250 miles away, 7 inches of snow is being dumped on the Dartmouth Green. So thanks guys! You saved Carnival!
Well I guess that's it for now. I went to econ 2 days in a row. Props to me.
*The Snow Dance should only be used by those responsible enough to understand its intricacies. Do not underestimate its power. You've been warned.

Aaah, the snow dance. I remember back in the days of Presby when we would gather outside and dance and pray for no school the following day.
And it always worked.
*sigh* such good times.

Yyyyyeahhhh Presby.
October of one year: I'm never doing Presby again!
July of following year: So what are you auditioning with?
It never fails.
yesss. snow dance. George and I did that last year during the musical, and then we lost too many days. Really, this is dangerous stuff, folks.
